I tweeted this earlier when I found out about it. Just wanted to pass this
along here to give anyone who might be considering visiting the East Pond at
Jamaica Bay a heads up.
The North Channel Bridge Parking lots are closed to the general public today as
far as I know. They are being commandeered by the NYPD for some event, which I
believe to be an ATV meetup. The parking lot at the Visitor Center is available.
