Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)

     8/25: AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER and RUDDY TURNSTONE 
were all seen along the Wildlife Drive.

     8/27: 10 Shorebird species including WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER, STILT 
SANDPIPER and SHORT-BILLED SANDPIPER were seen at Knox-Marsellus marsh.

     8/28: A GLOSSY IBIS and an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER were spotted along the 
Wildlife Drive. A SWAINSON’S THRUSH was seen at VanDyne Spoor Road.







Oswego County

------------




     Shorebirds seen at Sandy Pond Outlet on Lake Ontario this week. RUDY 
TURNSTONE, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER, SANDERLING, WHIMBLER, 
HUDSONIAN GODWIT, MARBLED GODWIT, RED KNOT, STILT SANDPIPER, LONG-BILLED 
DOWITCHER, RED-NECKED PHALAROPE, WILLET, BAIRD’S SANDPIPER AND WHITE-RUMPED 
SANDPIPER.

     8/23: A RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was seen at Mexico Point on Lake Ontario. A 
LITTLE GULL was seen at the Sandy Pond Outlet.

     8/25: A COMMON NIGHTHAWK was seen on Hinman Road north of Pulaski.

     8/28: A PHILADELPHIA VIREO was seen on Rt.14 at Ox Creek south of Fulton. 
An AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER was seen at the Co. Rt. 6 Sod Farm north of Phoenix.







Onondaga County

     8/24: A BLACK VULTURE was seen from Comstock Ave. in Syracuse.

     8/27: COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were seen at Split Rock in Airrmont and Morgan 
Hill State Forest.

     8/28: A BLACK VULTURE was seen from Clark Reservation Park in Jamesville.

     




Madison County

------------




     8/23: A COMMON NIGHTHAWK was seen from Borden Road in Earlville.







Oneida County

------------




     8/25: A RED-HEADED WOODPECKER was seen on Lakeshore Road at the north east 
end of Oneida Lake. It was seen again on the 27th.

     8/28: 2 BLACK VULTURES were again seen at an abondened barn on Rt. 46 
south of Rome. An OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER was seen on Lakeshore Road on the 
north east end of Oneida Lake.
