The long-returning drake Barrow’s Goldeneye has returned to Crab Meadow Beach (Northport, Suffolk) for at least the 5th winter.
It was among a small group of Commons just off the western end of the park, where the beach turns private, but easily viewed from the park. Seen with Andrew Leidig who beat me to it! Happy Solstice and good birding. There’s no fee at this time of year.
