Hi all,
I must say I was surprised to here that swan was id. as an immature Mute Swan.
Can someone explain why it was?  I do not see anything that would lead me to
that id. other than the neck being a little thick for a Tundra.  Unless I'm
missing something if it was an immature mute it would have at least some
knobbing on the forehead and the bill by this age should be much pinker.  Plus
the head and overall size look much more like Tundra to me.  Though I do see
the forehead also looks a little off for a Tundra with that V shape to it
instead of a wide U.  Then again I guess being emaciated might make it look off
for a Mute.  Don't know.  I've been wrong before, but puzzled on this one.
Just wondering:-)
