I just observed an adult Mississippi Kite while birding on the north side of All Faiths Cemetery in Queens. From my location (Latitude: 40.714616, Longitude: -73.890745), on a hill at the intersection of the Side Hill and Frederick’s Avenue markers, I spotted the bird while looking southwest across the road—likely over on the other side of the cemetery. It eventually dropped out of sight from my vantage point but may still be in the area, as it was circling when first seen. -------- “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.
