fun weekend of birding for members of NYSOA and the New York State Young
Birders Club!)

Spring Weekend at Derby Hill!

Saturday & Sunday, April 23 & 24, 2016

Sponsored by the New York State Ornithological Association (NYSOA)

Spend a weekend at one of the best spring sites for observing raptor
migration in the country! Derby Hill has seen as many as 20,000
Broad-winged Hawks pass overhead in one day. It is easy to drive to and
migration is at its peak in mid-April. Gerry Smith, Dave Wheeler, and
Bernie Carr will be guides for the weekend. Participants will observe
raptor migration, enjoy Saturday evening dinner at the Eis House restaurant,
listen to an informal presentation on the history and other facts about
Derby Hill during dinner, and have the opportunity to bird the varied trails
in the area.

Derby Hill is one of the premier locations for spring raptor migration, so
come and see it for yourself!
