Thanks, you are right, this is what Google Mail Help has to say:

"When you send a message to any mailing list you subscribe to, Google Mail automatically skips your inbox and archives the message to save you time and prevent clutter. The message will appear in your inbox if someone responds to it or if there is an error delivering the message. If you would like to view your message, you can find it in Sent Mail or All Mail."

Ok, that clears things then... cheers.

It is possibly because you are using Gmail.. is it adding it to the conversation as "sent from you" and therefore not showing up?
Probably not, but worth checking :-)

This one boggles my mind as I have explicitly set the option in several Google groups to receive my own posts however, I never do, hence I never know if my posts have actually arrived. I've posted several times only to find that nothing happens... I am retrieving all my google mail on two separate machines, one with POP and one with IMAP...

Any ideas? Cheers and sorry for the OT post...
