No, Microsoft's proprietary non-standard format DOCX is always unacceptable. We (at Egressive) reject it completely. Until MS Office supports *compliant* ODF formats, MS Office will be seen as software non grata. I'll only be happy for people to use MS Office when they can use it to write documents in ODT or ODS or ODD or ODG or one of the other ODF formats that can be read - without information loss - by ODF compliant applications like OpenOffice, Abiword, Gnumeric, KOffice, GoogleDocs, and the various other ODF-supporting apps that currently exist.
