Hey Matt This is how I see it: Create original content (no repeats) drizzled in keywords that you would like to focus on (e.g. put them, in alts, titles, headings, URLs, paragraphs, links, etc...) and you can't go wrong. Next, make sure that your code validates (w3.org). Once you have done this, you have the prerequisites for SEO. In order to actually get up in the ranks you need to have links to your website from important websites (high ranking).
The moment you start trying to trick Google, steal content, etc.... you start wasting your time. Start by wondering how you would like to be found (e.g. what keywords, what search engines, etc...) There is not much else you need to know ;-) Cheers Nicolaas 2008/10/8 Matthew Whiting <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Kia ora, > > I need to do some quick learning on search engine optimisation and > wondering if anyone could recommend where to start e.g. useful books, > articles or main points from your own experience? > > Cheers > Matt > > > > -- Nicolaas Thiemen Francken Director - Sunny Side Up Ltd skype: nicolaasthiemen within NZ phone 0800 771 777 overseas call +64 274 771 777 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.sunnysideup.co.nz new jobs and quotes: http://www.sunnysideup.co.nz/services please support http://www.localorganics.net --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ NZ PHP Users Group: http://groups.google.com/group/nzphpug To post, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
