Hi Chris, I was looking for new contracts on Seek and saw your ad. I remembered I saw your email to the list a while ago and was quite sourprised you haven't found anyone yet. Anyway, it looks like you/them (is it you or them?) are looking someone almost permanent so before I "officially" apply I'd like to know a few things. Mainly: - Can you work from home, or maybe just 3/4 days a week at the office ? - Where are the offices based ? I think I meet the criteria, I have a small daughter who I will be needing to take/pickup from childcare and I also have a small base of my own customers which I want to maintain, hence my concerns. Thanks,

In an ideal world, my replacement would be a talented PHP programmer with young children (so they understand the target market) and hours can be flexible to work around kids at school (e.g. you could drop the kids off at school, work from 9am to 3pm and then pick them up and go home). JK Kids operate 30 retail stores around New Zealand and 7 in Australia. The e-commerce website is at www.jk.co.nz & www.jkonline.com.au and uses the Zend Framework and jQuery. It communicates with the back office system via a series of web services to transfer customer and order information between the two systems. I will be available as a resource during a transition period when my replacement is "learning the ropes" and for any ongoing queries they may have about how everything works.
