*** Main topics ***

Speaker 1: Berend de Boer, Xplain Technology
Topic: REST

>From Wikipedia:
Representational state transfer (REST) is a style of software
architecture for distributed hypermedia systems such as the World Wide
Web. As such, it is not strictly a method for building what are
sometimes called "web services." The terms "representational state
transfer" and "REST" were introduced in 2000 in the doctoral
dissertation of Roy Fielding,[1] one of the principal authors of the
Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) specification. The terms have since
come into widespread use in the networking community.

Possible Speaker 2: Rory Fogerty, Integratorz
Topic: CMSMadeSimple

>From www.cmsmadesimple.org:
If you are an experienced web developer, and know how to do the things
you need to do, to get a site up with CMS Made Simple is just that,
simple. For those with more advanced ambitions there are plenty of
addons to download. And there is an excellent community always at your
service.
It's very easy to add content and addons wherever you want them to
appear on the site. Design your website in whatever way or style you
want and just load it into CMSMS to get it in the air. Easy as that!

I'm hoping to give more details on what speakers will cover over the
next 1.5 weeks.

Pizza:

Due to the earlier starting time we will order pizza to feed our
hungry mouths. This will likely take place over the phone, as Dominos
website runs on .asp.

Any suggestions for a php based pizza website welcome.

Speakers: please contact me on [EMAIL PROTECTED] or 021 5678 53 to
discuss topics with me. We are always looking for speakers on
open-source libraries and great websites.

*Remember*, this is the unique opportunity to show off the latest
project that you have done and get an opportunity to show it to a
greater audience in person. We are actively looking for people that
want to spend 10-15 minutes on their latest project. No one knows your
project better than you, no reason to be shy!

(Dan??)

Please get in touch with Jochen: [EMAIL PROTECTED] to book you in for
this meetup or a later one.

Thanks again for the people at NatColl, especially Steve Yeoman for
letting is use this venue. Please bring spare coins for beer and juice
($2) and $10 to share pizza!

Also, please RSVP here: http://php.meetup.com/10/calendar/8681158/

See you there

Jochen
