Hi all, I know this is a PHP group and Javascript has no relevancy here but, just for the sake of it. How many have you tried and tested the Javascript frameworks floating around? I am not going to ask the same question as which is the best. I think, libraries like YUI (Yahoo User Interface) and hard-core javascript beast "Qooxdoo" are a blessing to developers. How? Well, I think, a developer like me who does not find designing to be his arena and poor sense of color matching has tough time making layouts consistent across browsers and libraries make all this seem so easy while maintaining browser compatibility. I have done considerable work with yui and prototype but, have not tried out jQuery. I am more keen in using qooxdoo, you can check it out at http://qooxdoo.org The guys on this project have done excellent work and it is totally inspired from Java, Eclipse and *nix development environment. Plus, they say you don't need any html or css for any designing... it can be done all from code (have fun developers). I personally feel this library can be considered as a very good tool for creating thin-client apps and plus, can be considered as a less taxing tool than GWT (by taxing I mean, the need to find Java env. web- servers). I will be taking qooxdoo on a spin this sunday and if anyone is interested or has tested it earlier is welcomed to share comments, tips or discussions.
