I visited this subject a couple of years back, and spent 3 solid days in vain trying to find a reliable solution to those wonderful MS Word characters. I was just wondering if anyone had a solution that actually works?
Basically looking for a function like this... $myCleanContent = convertMsWord($utf8ContentFromDatabaseWithWordCharactersInThere, 'UTF-8') ; Anyone got anything? My client has updated his entire website by copy-pasting from word and it's the biggest mess I have ever seen.
