Avoid Instra Corp (aka Domain Directors) like the plague, and don't sign any
term contracts for anything in Australia. Telstra's Bigpond has a reputation
to rival that of any of the ISP's that get complained about most of the Trade
Me message board.

Apart from the forementioned companies, I didn't have any first hand dealings
for web hosting in Australia, and as such it's a lottery.
