I would last 5 minutes using a computer that only had a web browser installed. While Xero is an excellent replacement for MYOB, Google Docs spreadsheets are definitely a poor cousin of Excel and Openoffice. Netbook machines can play DVDs is you load them off ISO images on a flash/external drive so losing that facility is a show-stopper for me, and applications like Skype are now part of many people's daily life.
Web applications, while cool, are a long way away from being able to completely replace desktop applications. Having spent the last 5 months travelling with a netbook, I can safely say that internet connections around Europe are still far from being fast or reliable and I certainly wouldn't want to operate completely off web apps. I'm not sure who this new OS is supposed to appeal to.
