Greg. ---------------------- Our company is looking for a brilliant PHP5/ MySQL5 application programmer capable of producing complete software systems with security, extensibility and performance in mind. You need to be able and willing to work with open source frameworks such as Symfony, Zend, CodeIgniter. You consider working with common JavaScript libraries a given. You also need competency with regular expressions and AJAX at a library level. You need to be able to convert design layouts into pixel perfect, usability compliant XHTML/CSS templates. You need to be able to successfully test these in major browsers including IE6 and Safari. You are fluent with advanced SVN version management and adhere to strict coding standards. You’re a TDD apostle and a documentation hero. If you are not already a SugarCRM expert, you soon will be, as you will employ your considerable ability to quickly learn and assimilate technology in becoming our in-house Sugar ‘guru’. Knowledge of advanced MySQL5 administration, replication and query optimisation, JSON, XSS, mod_rewrite and advanced Apache configuration would be beneficial. We expect applicants to have extensive commercial experience, including being able to accurately scope projects and deliver to tight deadlines. You will manage a small, talented team. You must have your complete tool chain of PHP, MySQL, HTTP and JavaScript debugging ready and primed for work. You are able to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively. No two days are the same, so you must be able to effectively and positively respond to change. You enjoy the challenge of unusual requirements. The ideal person would be active in developer communities through contributing to open source projects or mentoring or supporting users and developers. You will have a minimum of 3 years in your current senior developer role. You may have had extensive contracting experience, or perhaps you have owned your own small IT business, and now seek new challenges through a full-time position with an attractive remuneration package and great future prospects.
