I have some contacts within Orcon, and am happy to pass your info to them with
your permission :)

Subject: [phpug] Brick Wall Syndrome [OT]

You may recall that I had issue with Orcon dating from last October. You may
recall my position is that I cancelled the order for their service in the first
week, after they did perform as they had advised they would, and did not
inform me. When I called they admitted to holding up the order in order to do
a credit check, and I advised them I was giving my business to Vodafone, (which
I did, happily) and indeed Orcon accepted my cancellation at that time.
But the invoices have kept on coming, and in spite of numerous phone calls from
me, nothing seems to be able to stop them.
Well the amount has grown to over $400 and I have now been sent to BayCorp.
I found this useful guide on what to do if someone sends you to Baycorp.
http://www.communitylaw.org.nz/fileadmin/documents/debt_and_credit_reporters.pdf
I also found this http://www.tdr.org.nz/
There is also a disputes tribunal but they do charge to lodge a claim.
I guess I should talk to a lawyer. I could do with your best advice here.
Damn, what an incredible waste of time this is turning out to be.
