i have a working draft implementation in perl - still need a calm day somewhen to make it work nicely though. once you wrapped your head around OAuth everything is quite straight forward. since some weeks you can make a application a private one and store the access tokens and connect to your accounts without logging in through the web interface which is really nice for backend automation tasks.
