Hey everyone, cross post from the PHP Meetup group - but this applies
to lots of people in this group and I'm interested to hear from the
whole community what a PHP Meetup should deliver. Thanks!

Hey everyone,

As you might have noticed I've taken over the Auckland PHP Meetup
Group. Please join me in thanking Jochen for the great work he has
done over the years. The Auckland PHP Meetup Group has over 300
members, 70 past meetups and is one of the oldest PHP meetups on
meetup.com (number 10 of 223). None of this would have been achieved
without his hard work, and the work of everyone else who has helped to
organise, presented at, or sponsored a meetup.

It's been a short while since our last meetup and it will be another
month or so yet until we're ready to get back into gear, but I want to
take the opportunity to gather your ideas on what you want to get out
of PHP meetup. Do you want a chance to network with other developers
in a social environment (pub, anyone?), technical demonstrations of
new frameworks, tips on training and certification, or maybe a weekend
hackfest?

The goal will be to attract a broad range of people - and to have fun
- so let us know what you'd like to see and I'll do my best to
incorporate your ideas into the new-look PHP meetups.

Thanks,

Hamish Campbell
