I hope your client has alot of money. Wises.co.nz would have cost hundreds
of thousands to develop.
Actually it cost $20, an AC-DC T-Shirt and a packet of Spaceman Candy
Sticks.
Kind regards,
Keri Henare

Same what? You don't say what "customize" is????
If you mean the selections for parking and ATM's, it's custom Javascript
supported by a custom database of local information. If you mean the live
search, again custom Javascript supported by a custom database of New
Zealand addresses.
So PHP is the least of your worries.
I hope your client has alot of money. Wises.co.nz would have cost hundreds

I'm not sure you appreciate just how open-ended your question is. In fact
it's not really a question at all. Are you offering a contract?
If you are looking for direction for doing this yourself, I suggest
starting with the maps API documentation
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/index.html. Then try the Maps API User
Group with *specific* questions.
http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Maps-API.
The Maps API is primarily Javascript based. Although most of the PHP
developers here would have at least touched on it, this group is not the
best bet for finding experts on the Maps API.
And I'm afraid you will never find a "how-to" for building a site the
"same as Wises". You will have to put all the peices of the puzzle
together for yourself.
