Disclaimer: I studied at Natcoll 10 years ago, opinion follows. Having studied at Natcoll, I found their courses very useful and practical. Some of their tutor quality was patchy (this may not be the case now) but what I was taught made it very easy to jump into a junior dev role and hit the ground running.
I have friends who studied Comp Sci / "IT" at university and were shocked at how useless their 3 years of study was when actually entering the job market. I'd say it would depend upon the tutor - I'd ask to sit in on a class and see how well the tutor can teach before you sign up - it's a rare skill to be a developer who can also teach and communicate effectively. If the tutor isn't up to scratch I'd take my money and time, buy a few well-recommended books and teach myself the skill areas I'm lacking in.
