I have a script that can give an approximation of international/local
traffic out of apache. This is grouped by request hostname and based on
apache logs.

There are a few issues with this:
    - It counts apache bytes, ignoring tcp overheads that your host counts
    - It only covers apache traffic, not smtp/imap/pop3
    - Doesn't factor incoming requests
    - We don't have access to our hosts route tables to know what is and
isn't international
    - It's not real time, processed offline overnight
    - Requires custom apache logging config
It's normally +/- 2GB (~5%) of our bill at the end of the month so close
enough for our purposes.

If you're interested let me know and I'll see if i can clean up the code a
bit and release it lgpl.

Subject: [phpug] [OT] Server based Bandwidth Reporting

Hi people,

One of our main web servers is a new VPS running WHM with a new host. We
migrated all sites to this server from a provider with un monitored
bandwidth.

Our new provider monitors international traffic tightly and I am struggling
to find a way to build a report of the sites hosted there. Really the only
way is to view individual statistics pages and take note of the Total, local
and international.

Is anyone aware of a package capable of reporting on traffic consumption
based on cPanel user, or at the very least, root directory location.

I need to see who is using what so we can develop pricing accordingly.

Cheers

A
