hi,

hot sure about php but we use couch since more than two years in
production. i rolled my own library (perl) in the meantime which does
exactly what i want - it is really just http and json, simple enough.

i suggest that you have a play with one of them, try to get used to
how couchdb works and if the library is too much in the way then look
around for another one - till you are either comfortable or you roll
your own that behaves the way you want.
