I've never used non-latin languages in solr, but I imagine the performance would be dependent on the stemming algorithm for that language. Anyhow, solr is used all over the place, e.g. BBC uses it and they publish in 30+ languages. I use it for about 20GB of data and it works very well, no performance issues. -Nick
