Being a IT student who specializes in programming and wants to grow as a programmer I thought It would be a good experience to build something of my own.
I have used a lot of other cms systems like drupal and joomla, they all have great features and a huge following with great support. Which is great but they were never what I wanted. I must say that Silverstripe is the bet cms system I have ever come a cross and it allowed me to do what I wanted, but I felt it wasn't a permanent solution to my needs. I know it's not necessary to create a whole new framework to do what I wanted to do. I want to give others a different option other than your main stream cms systems. I'm trying to make my framework as customizable as I can so that it provides the functionality of a main stream cms system but with the flexibility for creating a cms system that suites your needs. -- NZ PHP Users Group: http://groups.google.com/group/nzphpug To post, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe, send email to [email protected]
