Job Title: Multimedia Integrator / Developer Responsible to: Interactive Director Functional Relationships with: Base Two management team, employees, clients, suppliers and contractors. Position objectives: • To design, build and maintain websites, and Flash multimedia applications • To assist all team members as and when required Tasks: • To build web pages • Ability to interpret, find solutions for, and complete page builds for designs produced by Base Two designers • Advise Base Two designers as and when necessary • Basic LAN administration – monitoring server logs, setting up email addresses, monitoring email capacity, server administration – administration of the Base Two archive, performing server backups, providing offsite records etc. (Training will be provided) • Assist the Interactive Director with quotes, designs, proposals/pitches and presentations as required • Client liaison • Solicit and respond to all client based emails in a timely manner. • Actively participate in brain storming sessions both internally and externally Essential skills required: • 2-3 years experience in building web pages. The ideal candidate will have a high level of HTML, CSS skills, Good PHP and JavaScript (JQuery) skills and preferably experience working for a design based company • Drupal 5 and 6 theme experience is desired but not essential • Maintenance of a good working knowledge of multimedia current practices and developments • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to relate to, and communicate effectively with, a wide range of people • Advanced knowledge of web page construction using HTML/XHTML. Must be able to create W3C compliant and NZ e-Government experienced code • Be able to work on both an Apple Macintosh and PC platforms, although you will be predominately based on a PC • An advanced working knowledge of adobe – web premium software (Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks). You will be expected to keep up-to-date with new web technologies as and when they are released • You will be expected to have a keen interest in website design and construction • Be able to take concepts from both the Interactive Director and the Creative Director and work this up into effective website design • Be able to work with a minimum level of supervision and take responsibility for your own time management • Proven ability to work as part of a team and support other team members • Ability to manage time and resources efficiently under pressure while achieving high standards Person specification: • Able to prioritise • Is flexible/versatile in attitude and ability • Is a committed and reliable team player • Able to communicate effectively • Has a positive attitude • Enjoys a fun, creative atmosphere • Has a desire to help move the business forward • Has a strong client focus Thanks for your time.
