If you're interested please see below for a link to the official job description and contact information. ---- We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer to work on some of New Zealand’s best websites, including Te Ara (teara.govt.nz) and NZ History (nzhistory.net.nz). The position is part of a dedicated web team of developers, designers and web content wranglers working at Manatū Taonga – Ministry for Culture and Heritage. You’ll take a leading role in the development of our sites and contribute to telling New Zealand’s stories online. You’ll need a solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, Apache and experience with the Drupal CMS is highly desirable. But you’ll also know how to turn the technology into user-friendly websites that build on our reputation for high-quality and respected web publishing. The Senior Web Developer works with another web developer as well as external web vendors. Some experience of coordinating development work and code releases from multiple sources is an advantage, as is an understanding of the government web guidelines and accessibility issues.
