Hey guys My terms are here http://communico.co.nz/terms
They are a few years old, partially irrelevant now and have some areas that could be much better but were looked over by a lawyer. Feel free to use them as a starting point but don't blame me if they 'don't work' ;] 2 cents on the issue of non-payment: I've had many clients decide not to pay $000's over the years, took one to small claims but I'll offer a counter view to some others: No contract, court, debt collector or public defamation will ever ensure you'll get paid for services work. If you really want to be paid, ** get paid in advance ** and/or get to know your clients very well, over-communicate and make sure they are constantly aware of what costs they have incurred. And, be aware that the value a client feels they're being delivered and the time & effort we spend bears zero correlation (in my experience). Find out what their perception of value is and make sure they feel they're getting that. j On 17/10/2012, at 12:24 PM, Jochen Daum wrote: > Hi Phill, Michael, > >>> >>> So having admitted how shockingly bad I've been with client contracts in >>> recent years... :) >>> >>> Would anyone on this list mind sharing me a copy of an example contract >>> or two they use with clients so I can put something much better together? >>> >>> Any help would be hugely appreciated. >>> >>> Email off list to save cluttering the list would be great. >>> >>> Thank you! > >> I would also be interested in seeing these examples >> > > I'll email you mine, but I recommend that you see a lawyer, as it has > been specifically drafted for us and our unique problems. > > HTH, Jochen > > -- > NZ PHP Users Group: http://groups.google.com/group/nzphpug > To post, send email to [email protected] > To unsubscribe, send email to > [email protected] Julian Waters @communico | 0274902029 http://controlroom.co -- NZ PHP Users Group: http://groups.google.com/group/nzphpug To post, send email to [email protected] To unsubscribe, send email to [email protected]
