Hello Developers. Here in Nelson an ever growing group of us are working on a new way of organising ourselves. We are working on an urban growing project that will utilise available land, people and an alternative currency.
The key to the system is an alternative/complementary currency. For this to work, be resilient, transparent and free from control it must be self-managing. The engine exists but is not entirely fit for purpose. We wish to reduce the flexibility and use a templated system of predesignated jobs and attached credits that will all be plugged in from one source. The person carrying out the task will select the task they wish to do and once an 'approver' has 'approved' then the credits are available. This is a serious project and the electronic side of the alternative currency is key to the success. We will have a hub at the local Environment centre where people will also interact but this will also be logged through the portal.
