It is a mix of both. The editable fields are tinyMCE instances and the  
drag and drop functionality is heavily using jQuery UI. The lay-out  
management has been developed in-house.

Yes. You should already be able to automate the adding of elements  
(widgets, rows and columns). Row and column management can be done by  
using the dropdown menu on each row, and widgets can be added by  
double clicking on the widget icons in the inserter bar. This will be  
changed to a single click in the next release.

The re-ordering of widgets and rows, as well as the re-sizing of  
columns is currently still relying on mouse controller. However,  
making this keyboard accessible is high on the priority list.
