Just a little bit of background as to why this was happening. Pre-1.4.0, every time you would try to access an OAE instance via the wrong URL (i.e., a URL that has not been configured in the server protection service) you would see an almost blank page. This was because the widget loading mechanism was using a POST request, which would be blocked by the Server Protection Service.
In the 1.4.0 UI, widget loading is now exclusively done using GET requests, which are not blocked by the Server Protection Service. This is causing the UI to fully render even on URLs that have not been configured in the server protection service. The UI will only be denied access when trying to do a POST request (login, register, etc.). I've created a 1.5.0 JIRA ticket for the UI to display an error message informing the user that they are trying to access OAE through the wrong URL [1].
