angela commented on OAK-918:
----------------------------
JSR 283 states the following with respect to copy of versionable nodes:
3.13.5.6 Copied From
When a full versionable node is copied to a new location and the repository
preserves the mix:versionable mixin (see §10.7 Copying Nodes), the copy gets a
new version history and that history records the base version of the node from
which the copy was created. This information, known as the node's lineage, is
recorded in the jcr:copiedFrom WEAKREFERENCE property of nt:versionHistory (see
§15.1.4 Copying Versionable Nodes and Version Lineage).
this is currently not implemented with the result that the copied tree shares
all version information with the original nodes.
> Copying nodes does not update version related properties stored with the node
> and/or child nodes
