Just to make sure I got the idea right I've attached a minimal patch which
exposes the background read duration time series as JMX data. Is that what's
expected? If it is I'll make the other changes similar.
I'm asking since I feel like I've abused the TimeSeries concept a bit since
these are operation durations rather than counts.
