I actually made similar observation while evaluation the patches for OAK-3348.
There I tentatively nulled out the {{SessionDelegate.root}},
{{SessionContext.sessionContext}} and {{SessionDelegate.sd}} references. It
improved the situation somewhat but needs further following up.
