as it turns out, this can be very expensive to run.
this is how the report will look like, given a segment UUID, it will print an
inverted index of the dependencies. it currently doesn't build the longest path
to the root, it would only pick up one link of the chain and attach segments of
dependencies to it by removing the segment from the main list until it reaches
a local root, then continues with the next link until it consumes the entire
list.
