Chetan Mehrotra commented on OAK-6718:
--------------------------------------

With 1809810 oak-run would configure the bufferSize to be 32MB. From various
testing done the indexing times does not reduces further with higher size and
32 MB is coming out to be sweet spot.

This can be tweaked via system property {{oak.index.ramBufferSizeMB}}

> Configure RAM buffer size used by IndexWriter with oak-run indexing

> Lucene IndexWriter uses 16M buffer by default. For reindexing of large repo
> via oak-run it should be possible to set this to higher value like 300MB.
> In one of the test which indexes 65M entries setting the buffer size to 300M
> reduced the reindexing time from 2 hrs to 1.1 hrs
