I've just realised there's a dedicated package which depends on DW APIs already
in _oak-core_ at
[https://github.com/apache/jackrabbit-oak/tree/trunk/oak-core/src/main/java/org/apache/jackrabbit/oak/plugins/metric.]
So I assume that we will go with DW APIs directly, without introducing further
dependencies.
