[~mduerig] Sorry for the stupid question, I was a bit out of context :) After
looking at it again (and I hope this is a more helpful remark), could the
problem stem from the recursive {{writeNode}} call in
{{ChildNodeCollectorDiff}}? Not sure but it looks to me like this keeps the map
and all the maps of the children "open" until the deepest nodes have been
written.
