hi [~insuafer], as promised last week during our wednesday meeting. i created a
patch at https://github.com/apache/jackrabbit-oak/pull/669 . based on our
discussion i changed it from 'isexcludedfromprotection' to 'isprotected'. the
setup allows for multiple implementations.

in skyline if the simplistic allow-lists are not sufficient. feel free to
