some explanation of the PR history of this ticket :
* original PR was [#1845|https://github.com/apache/jackrabbit-oak/pull/1845]
* unfortunately there were some release issues in 1.72 and this had to be
revered in [#1853|https://github.com/apache/jackrabbit-oak/pull/1853]
* there is now a new PR that reapplies the change, that one is
