This is what my application does:

requestToken.getPublicToken();

requestToken.getPublicToken();
access.tokenSecret = requestToken.getSecret();
responseMsg = client.invoke(access, "GET",
this.getClientSettings().getOAuthAccessTokenUrl(),
null);
This works for me.
