I don't necessarily have a problem with that; I don't really see a need to
close it, unless you think that people will post to it and get no response?
Perhaps it'd be prudent to post to that list to make sure that no one has
ideas for using it, and if no one objects, go ahead and make it read only.
Of course if someone wants to reopen it later, I think that should be an
option.
