Per my understanding, GFC implements a cookie based auth scheme, while
OAuth is a much more involved spec, including the pre-auth steps as
well as including more than just a cookie to access protected
resources. It is not so much about programming languages, but depends
on your application and its interaction with OpenSocial and/or any
other platform like NetFlix/Twitter.
