FYI.... If you are interested in this conference, you can contact Dhruv (IAB chair, and cc'd). It is my understanding that the tickets are available until 15 May.
Deb Cooley Sec AD ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Dhruv Dhody <[email protected]> Date: Thu, Apr 9, 2026 at 8:14 AM Subject: [iesg] Global Digital Collaboration Conference 2026 (GDC CON) To: <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>, <[email protected] > Cc: The IESG <[email protected]>, Carl Gahnberg <[email protected]>, Olaf Kolkman <[email protected]> Hi, Below is a call for interest for the Global Digital Collaboration Conference, which ISOC is co-organizing and for which they have a limited allocation of 40 tickets. Given the topics, it would be useful to have some IETF participants attend, track developments, and engage where appropriate. If you have specific individuals in mind, please suggest names to ISOC ( [email protected]) so they can follow up, or forward the call for interest directly. Alternatively, if you think it is appropriate, you may share it with your WG. If anyone from the IESG is interested in attending, or can suggest relevant participants, please do the same. Thanks, Dhruv ---------------------------------- * Call for Interest: Global Digital Collaboration Conference 2026 (GDC CON) — Geneva, 1–3 September 2026* If you work on digital identity, verifiable credentials, trust infrastructure, or the protocols and data formats that underpin cross-border credential exchange, the Global Digital Collaboration Conference may be of interest. The GDC conference brings together industry, governments, standards bodies and open-source foundations (including participants from IETF, W3C, OpenID Foundation, FIDO Alliance, ISO, and ETSI), who each bring a piece of the puzzle but rarely get to coordinate across community boundaries at scale. The conference's current focus is digital credentials, though its ambitions are broader. The aim isn't to replace any existing effort, but to create a space for sharing progress, identifying gaps, and aligning where the pieces need to fit together. Last year at GDC25, discussions spanned the full credentials stack, from selective disclosure formats and interoperability profiles to trust management for wallets and credential presentation in offline environments. GDC26 will build on these threads and introduce new topics, including age verification. *How to register* The event is co-organized by 30+ organizations, supported by the Swiss Confederation. The Internet Society, building on engagement with the Internet Architecture Board (IAB), has been invited to join the GDC Council and is a co-organizer of the conference. Tickets are free but ISOC has a limited allocation (40 tickets), which will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. If you're interested, please *register by May 15* via "GDC 2026 Tickets via ISOC" at https://luma.com/gdccon, and include a (very) short note about how your participation at GDC connects to the technical work you follow at the IETF.
