Dear Gobby users,
Gobby 0.4.91 and libinfinity 0.2.0 have been released. These are the
second versions in the line leading to Gobby 0.5.
The core networking part of libinfinity 0.2.0 has been changed, so that
UUIDs are no longer required for networking. The dependency on libuuid
has therefore been dropped as well. The infinoted server now features
autosave. Some internally used API (although still public) has changed
much, but there were only few (if any) changes to the core API.
Gobby 0.4.91 features autosave as well, it allows to open arbitrary URIs
and remembers previous direct connections (use the "Up" and "Down" keys
in the text entry to browse through the history). It requires
libinfinity 0.2 to build.
The Windows installer now includes a Windows port of the infinoted
server.
Gobby 0.4.91 cannot connect to infinoted 0.1, and Gobby 0.4.90 can't
connect to infinoted 0.2. Our playground server on "dalaran.0x539.de"
has been upgraded to infinoted 0.2.
libinfinity and the Gobby 0.4.9x line are still experimental and
unstable in API, ABI and network protocol. This means that future
versions are not guaranteed to be compatible to the current ones.
However, at least the network protocol begins to settle down and there
will only be minor modifications.

Changes since libinfinity 0.1.2:
* infinoted records sessions to ~/.infinoted-records
* Added proper modification tracking, and an autosave feature for
infinoted.
* Implemented InfStandaloneIo on Windows, making infinoted run on
Windows
* Refactored connection manager, introducing InfCommunication API for
high-level network handling. This breaks protocol compatibility with
libinfinity 0.1.x.

* Scroll to Cursor after Cut or Paste

* Added an "Open Location" dialog to open arbitrary URIs
* Added a tooltip when hovering text, showing the author of that text
