I feel that it is unfortunate that there are people in our club and outside
it who are finding it necessary to resort to rudeness and confrontation. We
are a community with varying but similar goals - to enjoy cycling and do it
safely. When a motorist or fellow cyclist gets upset, there is nothing
gained by getting angry back. Let's try to educate and learn, not retaliate
and alienate. There will always be differences of opinion, but what I have
seen is an unwillingness to cooperate and, frankly, I fear that the
community could come apart. Now, neither I nor anyone else should take any
abuse, but let's not try to fight abuse with more abuse.

Behave as if the whole world is watching. They probably are, as a matter of
fact.
