Subject: [obc] Heavy bikes!
Did anyone see the article in today's Citizen concerning the Swiss army
bike brigade?
It's being disbanded after110 years of service.
They say the bikes are legendary - like the Swiss army knife, but what is
truly amazing is the weight at 21.6 kilograms (47.6 lbs.). No titanium
frames for these guys! How would you like to climb the Alps on one of
those things, with the addition of panniers loaded for a nice long tour?
