This morning, I received a call back from Manon Barril, the NCC's Champlain
Bridge project manager, regarding the path condition at north end of the
bridge. She said that stone dust will be applied over the top of the gravel
and that section will then be rolled to make it ridable. This could be done
today but by the beginning of next week at the latest. She also told me the
road section of the bridge is scheduled to be completed by year-end. At
least winter cyclists may get some relief this year!

Anyone experiencing cycling related problems within NCC's jurisdiction
(bridges, parkways, NCC paths, etc.) should call 239-5000.
