Ten cyclist braved the cold winds and the threat of rain to do a 54 km ride to Manotick, by way of Airport Parkway, Alert Road and Bowesville Road, returning by Long Island and Highway 16, Hogs back . Four of the cyclist were new to me OBC members and a few getting the last fling before Kennebunkport. I had planned to go a little further but we were delayed by a cyclist having a flat on the Airport Parkway and a faulty spare tube. "Sir James" did his usual thing and stayed with a slower cyclist on the return trip and pick up another along the way. It was one of the very few times that James did not return to Billing Bridge as the cyclist he was with took a more direct route to their homes.
