Although Aaron Fillion placed second, he scooped up quite a few primes, to
the point where he needed help carrying them from the stage.
The local bike store stores have always been generous in supporting this
event.
Thanks to all who came out to watch this event. I think there were more
people then ever along Preston and up the hill at Gladstone. The number of
spectators encourages the Italian Festival organizers to continue with this
long standing final event of the Festival Week.
For those who are not aware, I am an OBC member, but the Italian Festival
Race is organized by Bikerace Ottawa, a four person group which was formed
15 years ago. Our main event has always been the Italian race but we help
whenever we can with other road events in the Ottawa area.
